Agreement of Terms
By using Email Verifier API’s services, you ("Client," "Customer," or "Authorized User") agree to comply with this Terms of Service Agreement. We reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or terminate any service with or without notice for any reason. It is the client's responsibility to periodically review these terms. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age to use this service. By using Email Verifier API, you warrant that you meet this age requirement.
Acceptable Use
Violation of these policies will result in immediate account termination without refund and may be reported to FraudGrade.
- Spam Prevention: You must not use our services in connection with sending unsolicited bulk commercial email (SPAM).
- Third-Party Data: You must not verify email addresses obtained indirectly or via third-party lists.
- Harvesting: Use of the service to data-mine, harvest, or determine the existence of unknown addresses is strictly prohibited.
- System Integrity: You must not reverse engineer, test for vulnerabilities, or alter any part of the service.
Fair Use & Performance
Email Verifier API maintains a limit of 1 maximum concurrent connection per authorized user. We reserve the right to apply restrictive limits on any account to prevent service impairment or ensure availability for all users at our sole discretion.
API vs. Bulk Usage
Our API is built for transactional validation at the point of capture. You may use the API for newsletter opt-ins, registration forms, and shopping carts. You must not verify bulk lists through the API; bulk lists must be processed through our dedicated Bulk List Cleaning tool.
Client Data & Zero-Storage Policy
Our Promise: We do not sell, share, or store the email addresses you check. Once the verification request is executed, the raw data is purged from our active processing environment.
To facilitate deliverability guarantee claims, we log a one-way, non-reversible SHA512 hash of the email for 30 days. Because this is a cryptographic fingerprint, the original email address cannot be recovered or read by our staff. We only see the statistics (pass/fail) and error logs associated with your API key to maintain service quality.
GDPR & Privacy Compliance
Email Verifier API is GDPR compliant. We deploy a privacy-first architecture where verification content is not deemed personal data from our perspective because we cannot identify individuals from encrypted or hashed content.
- Controller Status: We act as a Controller for account/billing data and a Processor for verification data.
- Data Sovereignty: We utilize Microsoft Azure (Sub-Processor) with protections that comply with EU privacy rules.
- Confidentiality: All authorized staff and agents are under a contractual obligation of confidentiality.
Support Limitations
Our services are unmanaged and intended for professional developers. While we provide documentation and basic code examples, we do not assist in custom software integration. Support is strictly limited to billing, network, and accuracy-related inquiries.
Billing, Refunds & Disputes
We offer a 3-day refund policy for your first payment on unused verifications. Consumed credits are never eligible for refund. Please note that raising a chargeback or payment dispute will result in immediate account termination and loss of all remaining credits.
Limitation of Liability & Jurisdiction
Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Email Verifier API shall not be liable for any damages (including lost profits or business interruption) arising from the use or inability to use the service.
Jurisdiction: This agreement is governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the State of Ohio.
